FAQ

The short answers.

Are Valio valuations formal / RICS?+
No. Every valuation Valio produces is explicitly indicative — a fast, data-driven estimate for informational use only. It is not a RICS Red Book valuation and must not be used as one.
Where does the data come from?+
We pull company profiles, filing history, and iXBRL-tagged accounts directly from the UK Companies House Public API and Document API. We normalise them into a consistent schema and cache locally so return queries are instant.
Which companies can I analyse?+
Any UK company on Companies House with at least one set of filed accounts. Dormant companies and micro-entities with no disclosed P&L are supported for asset-based valuation only.
Will you ever see my data?+
Your account profile, tracked companies, and chat history are private and isolated via Postgres Row-Level Security. Company financials come from public filings — they are public by law.
How does Chat BI avoid hallucinating numbers?+
The chat model only ever sees the company's actual parsed financials and latest health score as grounded context. It is instructed to say “I don't know” when asked something the data can't answer.
Can I export reports?+
Yes — every valuation report is exportable to a clean PDF. On the Advisor tier, PDFs are white-labelled with your logo.
